"I'm starting to realize that people lack good mirrors. It's so hard for anyone to show us how we look, and so hard for us to show anyone how we feel.” ~John Green, Paper Towns
- I have chosen to highlight my most influential books, movies, and albums. You might not have these same categories. You might want to discuss works of art, comic books, plays, or television shows. The important thing is that you choose media that affected you at an early age.
- The goal of each thread should be a deeper understanding of our own personal development and to foster better understanding of each other.
- This is a non judgmental space. Negativity towards others will not be tolerated and violators will be banned immediately and all posts deleted. It is possible to disagree with a viewpoint without being intentionally hurtful.
- All members must create or have admin create a personal board with at least 3 categories. No voyeurs allowed. You must create a board before commenting on other's.
- All members must post a minimum of 3 media references to summarize. There is no maximum.
- All members must agree to review and comment on other member's posts. It is encouraged to watch, read, listen, or look at the posted media before commenting. There are no time constraints; we all lead busy lives. There is no expectation that every member will review and comment on every thread.
- At this time, registration is by invitation only. This is done to create a safe space in which to write and communicate. If you would like to recommend someone for membership, please message admin.
- Where applicable, members are encouraged to link their media or attach an image for easier dissemination by other members.
- All comments should be in the spirit of community, good will, and with the goal of a deeper understanding of ourselves, each other, and human nature.
- All summaries should focus on how the work affected you at an early age and how or if it continues to inspire and influence you.
